Abstract

Convention adopted 26 June 1985 during the 71st International Labour Conference. It sets out the principles of national policy (definition of the terms "occupational health services" and "workers' representatives in the undertaking", development of these services), and the functions, organisation and conditions of operation of health services. The Recommendation adopted the same day completes the Convention. It outlines the aspects to be covered by: surveillance of the working environment; surveillance of the workers' health; information, education, training, advice; first aid, treatment and health programmes; other functions of occupational health services; organisation; conditions of operation.
